Wing Names

“Fly over the Poles with Polly, for a donation of £25 to the charity” was another way to attract sponsorship funding for FSD. Names of all individuals, clubs, schools and societies that accepted this unique and charitable offer was affixed to the wing of the aircraft.

On the voyage we had 1,400 names on the wings. Many, many people all over the world have generously given Polly of their hospitality, time, friendship and support. It would be impossible to name them all, but the team are truly grateful for all their wonderful help throughout the project.
